🧭 About “Connect Existing Product” in Printify
Printify allows you to link a product that already exists in your WooCommerce or Shopify store — but the process isn’t a direct “button” like “Connect Existing Product.”
Instead, it’s done through the product editing workflow inside Printify.
🔧 Here’s How It Actually Works (Step-by-Step)
🩵 STEP 1 — Create Your Product in WooCommerce
- Go to WooCommerce → Products → Add New.
- Set up your product manually with:
- Global attributes (
Color,Size, etc.) - Variations and SKUs for each variant.
- Global attributes (
- Publish it — this creates your beautiful, structured, swatch-ready product on your site.
💚 STEP 2 — Go to Printify → “My Products”
- In your Printify dashboard, click My Products.
- Click “Add Product” (top-right corner).
- Choose your print provider and product (e.g., T-shirt, hoodie, etc.).
- Design your product in the editor (upload your art, adjust placement, etc.).
- When you’re done, instead of publishing directly, click “Save as Draft.”
💜 STEP 3 — Manually Link Your WooCommerce Product to Printify
Now, you have two separate versions of the same design:
- One on WooCommerce (your structured product)
- One on Printify (the backend design file)
Here’s what you do:
- In Printify, open that product draft.
- Click “…” (three dots) on the top-right corner of the product tile in “My Products.”
- Choose “Replace existing product” or “Connect” (this appears if a product with a similar name or SKU exists on your connected store).
- If you don’t see it yet, ensure your WooCommerce integration is active and synced.
- Select the WooCommerce product you want to connect.
- Map each variant correctly (color/size → SKU).
- Save your changes.
✅ Printify will now use that product for fulfillment whenever someone orders it from your WooCommerce store.
